Session 4 : Program wide Physics Quest

Our Session 4 physics quest was called "Newton's Toy Workshop" and we made a lot of messes navigating the major themes and understanding of the “why” behind the challenges. Major themes include:

• Gravity

• Resisting gravity

• Simple machines

• Structures and supports

• Toy Making and Exhibition

On this quest, Eagles used physics to become toy designers. They took on the title of “scientist” as they explore concepts in physics such as gravity, thrust, momentum, displacement, elasticity, and mechanical advantage. As toy designers, they take on the different challenges each week that provide a tactile understanding of physics.
