ArtTerra is a once-a-week enrichment program held on Fridays during the school year, rooted in Acton Academy’s learner-driven philosophy. Designed for ages 4–18, it blends visual arts, permaculture, music, and nature exploration into a cohesive, creativity-focused experience built around a unifying theme each session.
Through Socratic discussions, collaborative projects, and place-based learning, ArtTerra invites learners to express themselves, connect with the natural world, and grow through meaningful, hands-on work.
ArtTerra welcomes homeschool families and is included for full-time Acton learners. Mixed-age groups encourage older learners to mentor younger ones, fostering cooperative learning. For our youngest learners in Spark Studio (ages 4–8), the program follows developmentally appropriate rhythms with shared activities throughout the day, guided by a dedicated Spark Guide who creates an inspiring environment for exploration.

Tuition
Tuition: $350/month
(September–June; 10 payments)
Fees: $350 total
Annual Enrollment Fee: $100
Materials Fee: $250
Total Fridays: 29, beginning September 5th and ending June 5th
No Class Dates: Sep 19, Oct 10 , Nov 28, Dec 19 & 26, Jan 2 & 9, Feb 27, Apr 17 & 24, May 22
Commitment: Full-year preferred; 30-day withdrawal notice required.
Upon enrollment, families pay the enrollment and materials fees, plus first and last month’s tuition.
