Our Admissions Process

Thoroughly research our website with your family  including all tabs, links to podcasts and parent blog, videos, and FAQs.  It is very helpful to read the book Courage to Grow. We want to make sure you have a strong understanding of Acton's unique learner-driven model of education.

Fill out an interest form. Let us know a little bit about your family, and ask initial questions you might have.  Check the box that you would like to take the next step towards applying for admission.

Watch virtual information session or attend an in person open house. Our open-houses are a great opportunity to learn more about Acton Academy Santa Cruz and ask in depth questions to our team.

Fill out a program application. We want to ensure that our unique program is a fit for your family, so we ask that you dedicate time and thought to the application process.

Have your child attend a shadow day.  Have your child spend the day at Acton Academy to see what it's like in real time, and see if it is a good fit.

Participate in a Family Interview.  If we believe Acton Academy may be a good fit for your family, we will conduct a final interview including both parents, if applicable, and each learner.
